In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Dormont Manufacturing Company, of Export, Pa. and Cimberio S.p.A., of Via Torchio, Italy are voluntarily recalling about 20,000 (in inventory) Cimberio Gas Ball Valves. When one of these valves is closed, it could open up slightly. If the gas supply is on, gas will leak from the inlet port through the ball/seat and travel through the outlet port. If the valve is not connected to an appliance, and is not capped or plugged as required by the National Fuel Gas Code Section 6.7.2.1, leaking gas will escape into the air. However, subsequent testing confirms that this potential for a gas leak is eliminated as gas flows through the valve. As a result, there is no risk with installed valves.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), New England Sterling of Attleboro, Mass., for Tiffany and Company of New York, N.Y., is recalling about 3,700 Farm Teether Rattles. A metal bar on the rattle can break off during use, releasing small round beads and small farm animal figures that roll off the crossbar when the soldered joints break. The beads can pose an aspiration hazard to young children. The breakage also can create ragged edges on the ring, posing a laceration hazard.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Zhongshan Zhongnam Candle Manufacturer Co., Ltd. of China is recalling about 2,000 Beeswax Rope Candles (SKU # 34-911). The candle has a clamp (vise) that leads the end of the rope candle at the top. When clamped properly it is supposed to self-extinguish the candle when the burning wick meets the metal clamp (vise). The clamp (vise) does not always sever the wax close to the wick and does not always enable the wick to self-extinguish. This can lead to the flame continuing down into the coiled section of the candle, which can then ignite and cause fire damage.
