For most Americans, the Fourth of July celebration is a time for food, fun and fireworks, but in 2007 nearly 10,000 Americans were treated in emergency rooms for firework-related injuries. Today on the National Mall, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported that 64 percent of these injuries occurred during the one month period surrounding the July 4th holiday.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), The Home Depot, of Atlanta, Ga., is voluntarily recalling about 64,000 Holiday Figurines. Surface paint on the holiday figurines contains lead.

Holiday decorations, like candles and Christmas trees, add to the festive mood of the season; but when decorations are not used properly, they can result in fires, injuries and death. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is urging families to keep safety in mind when stringing holiday lights, purchasing Christmas trees, and lighting candles this holiday season.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Reeves International Inc., of Pequannock, N.J., is voluntarily recalling about 36,000 2006 Snow Princess Stirrup Ornaments, 2007 Holiday Stirrup Ornaments, and 2007 Photo Frame Horse Shoe Ornaments. Surface paints on the ornaments contain high levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standards.

On Certain Fifth Wheel Trailers, The Design Specifications For The Slideout Actuator And Bracket Location Is Between The Two Street Side Tires. The Adapter Bracket From The Actuator To The Slide Room Has Square Corners. If The Fifth Wheel Trailers Are Fully Loaded And Hit Any Bumps, The Tires May Rub The Square Corner Of The Bracket. The Rub May Wear Into The Tread Of The Tire Over Time.

The Incorrect Screws Are 1/4" Longer Than Specified And May Contact A Pc Board Inside The Monitor Which Could Potentially Hit A High Voltage Circuit On The Pc Board Of Approximately 10,000-13,000 Volts.

Unfortunately, these types of incidents are grounded in reality and, unlike in the movies, they are often no laughing matter. If The Damper Becomes Loose, Fuel Could Be Pumped By The Fuel Pump Into The Under Hood Area.
