Target Recalls Home Patio Sets Due to Fall Hazard

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Target, of Minneapolis, Minn., is voluntarily recalling about 40,000 Home Patio Sets. The chair can collapse when weight is applied to the front end of the arm rests, posing a fall hazard to consumers.

Description
This recall involves six-piece home patio sets sold exclusively at Target. The set consists of a table, an umbrella, and four chairs. The chairs and the umbrella have a black aluminum frame covered with a beige fabric.
Hazards
The chair can collapse when weight is applied to the front end of the arm rests, posing a fall hazard to consumers.
Incidents
Target has received 35 reports of chairs collapsing, resulting in 18 injuries such as bruising to the back, hips, shoulders, arms and finger lacerations.
Remedy
Consumers should stop using the recalled patio sets immediately and return the entire six-piece set to any Target store for a full refund.
