Fire Alarm Control Panel Recalled By Gamewell FCI Due to Alert Failure

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Gamewell-FCI, of Northford, Conn., is voluntarily recalling about 3,000 Gamewell-FCI 7100 Series Fire Alarm Control Panels. The sounder on the panel’s main circuit board can fail to alert when there is a malfunction.

Hazards

The sounder on the panel’s main circuit board can fail to alert when there is a malfunction.

Incidents

No injuries or incidents have been reported.

Remedy

Gamewell-FCI is contacting customers directly and is providing a free repair kit. In the event of sounder failure during an alarm, the various other audible and visual indicators will notify occupants of an alarm condition.
