In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), American Greetings Corporation, of Cleveland, Ohio, is voluntarily recalling about 14,200 DesignWare® Fairy Wand packages containing four wands each. The fairy wand party favors can break apart, exposing sharp wires that pose a laceration hazard to children.

DesignWare® 4 Fairy Wands

Description

The recalled fairy wands are pink or purple with multi-colored beads, feathers and ribbons. The wands are 7-inches long. There are four wands in each package. The packaging has a light pink cardboard backer. Model number WAND1361 is written on the back of the packaging.

Hazards

The fairy wand party favors can break apart, exposing sharp wires that pose a laceration hazard to children.

Incidents

No injuries have been reported.

Remedy

Consumers should take the recalled wands away from young children immediately. Contact the firm for a coupon redeemable wherever American Greetings products are sold.
