American Scientific Recalls Magnets Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), American Scientific LLC, of Columbus, Ohio, is voluntarily recalling about 87,000 Magnets. Surface paint on the magnets can contain high levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard.

This recall involves horseshoe, rectangular bar and U-shaped magnets sold primarily to schools for use in science classes. The magnets have red and blue paint on the surface of the magnet. Item numbers included in the recall are:
