BRP U.S. Inc. Recalls Snowmobiles Due to Fire Hazard

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), BRP U.S. Inc., of Sturtevant, Wis., is voluntarily recalling about 430 Ski-Doo® Snowmobiles. Friction between the fuel hose and the cylinder head cover can cause the hose to pierce. This can cause fuel to leak out, posing a fire hazard.

The recall involves the following Ski-Doo® Models:

Hazards
Friction between the fuel hose and the cylinder head cover can cause the hose to pierce. This can cause fuel to leak out, posing a fire hazard.
Incidents
The firm has received two reports of fuel leakage and five additional reports of hose wear. No injuries or property damage have been reported.
Remedy
Consumers should stop using these vehicles immediately and contact any Ski-Doo dealer to schedule a free repair. Consumers with recalled snowmobiles are being sent a direct notice from BRP.
