Miracle Recreation Recalls Tire Swings Due to Fall Hazard

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Miracle Recreation Equipment Co., of Monett, Mo., is voluntarily recalling about 1,400 Playground Tire Swings. The hanger clamp on the tire swing can fail causing the tire swing to detach. This poses a fall hazard to young children and risk of serious injury.

Description
The recalled Tire Swing consists of a tire, which hangs from a swivel and three chains. The recall includes the following products and model numbers:

| Kids’ Choice Arch Tire Swing Swivel Replacement | Model #278 |
Hazards
The hanger clamp on the tire swing can fail causing the tire swing to detach. This poses a fall hazard to young children and risk of serious injury.
Incidents
Miracle Recreation Equipment Co. has received three reports of injuries, including two reports of cuts requiring stitches and one report of a fractured foot.
Remedy
Consumers should immediately remove the tire swing, including the swivel, chains and tire from the hanger clamp until a free repair kit is installed. The company has sent direct mail notices to consumers.
